<p>If the school requires the CSS Profile, you'll need to submit it, in addition to the FAFSA.</p>
<p>Some schools want more detailed info about your financial situation. CSS Profile is a business run by collegeboard that provides this service, which is why there is a fee. If a school asks for both and you only do the FAFSA you will not get any aid.</p>
