!!!

You've been corrupted too much by American English!

hey, we can take APs in singapore right?

Yup.. (ten chars)

alright but i can't see like some sign up link at the collegeboard website... so do we sign up at RELC or smth? anyway... is there a tangible benefit for us singaporean applicants to be applying with a few AP scores?

it's not going to make them overlook mediocrity during jc, etc.

per0
.....

You sign up for an AP with the school that offers it. At least, that's how things are here in India.

It'll make it seem that you are trying too hard. The officers want you to do things that you are passionate about, not things that will just boost your portfolio.

That said....if you are really bored, go for it.

Take it for the credits you can get and not for getting in.

My friend dropped out of J1 but he got to Harvard, so when he was doing NS, he did APs so that he could skip some classes there. I think you can get similar credits through A-Levels, but I'm not so sure about that.

lisieux, cool, so your friend didn't do j2, but studied APs on his own and did the tests? And on top of that got into harvard without finishing jc??

Yeah, you can. (Get credits for A-levels)

Pennaspirant, correct. But he dropped out of JC 'cos he was sure he would get in somewhere real good. Or maybe he was already accepted even, I'm not so sure. But he definitely took the APs for the credits and not to boost his application.

Or so he says.
