Ya know, like with just one person/without a roommate, do they exist?

they do exist! theyre in the west apartments for the most part [i heard there were singles in roosevelt, but i dont know if theyre still singles].
you have to be u3 or u4 with at least a 3.0 gpa to live there.

Whats u3 and u4? Juniors and Seniors? lol

yes. junior/senior by credit.

Unless you have a medical need for a single, they're a pretty hard get. Roosevelt does still have corridor-style singles; your best bet if you want one of those is to live in a Roosevelt double for a year and then move to a single in the same building when you do room selection (since then you'll have higher priority than everyone except those staying in the same room). West has singles in suites, and izzy already told you those requirements. Being an RA will also get you first pick, but IMO that's too much of a pain in the butt to do just for a single room if you're not interested in the job for other reasons.

You can get singles anytime, my freshman friend has one. Most buildings have them as well. You really cannot get one if you're a freshman unless you have like medical problems or some crazy excuses ahha. Religion works too.

They are hard to get since they are also based on availability.
