If I submit a SIR, am I forced to go to UCLA or can I still choose to not go there?

you can just not pay and not go.... but where else would you go? a CC?

I think you only lose your deposit- because people that are trying to get into schools via appeals have to SIR somewhere as well, and if they CAN get into the school they want but its SIR deadline has passed, i think they just lose the 100 bucks to the one they initially SIRd.. or maybe they pay a fine. But it doesn't seem like its a binding contract, just a downpayment.

The $100 deposit is non-refundable. You can change your decision afterwards but that money will not be returned to you.

ok thanks a lot for the replies guys. i might just go back to korea if my parents decide that they dont want to pay 42k per year.
