So, i am just curious about the sixth college dorm. i know that its called the camp snoopy because its a two-floor apartment style. that part really turns me off. im afraid that the social life, which i treasure alot in college, would be dead because unlike other colleges, it doesn't have a res dining hall where everyone can gather together as a big group. are the rooms connected somehow to a big room where everyone can just chill or get to know each other in each building? since i never been to the campus, i was wondering if anyone can tell me more about the sixth college dorm and whether or not a good social life exists in it.

actually, "camp snoopy" refers to the fact that the residence halls look like leftover army barracks. they wouldn't use such derogatory nicknames to describe two-floor apartments! so the res halls are two floors, with one suite per floor. the rooms surround the central living area in the suite; this is the basic setup for all res halls on campus.

the apartments are usually reserved for second years, google "sixth college floor plans" and you'll get the ones they use for room assignments each year.

i don't think dining halls promote bonding any more than the actual dorms do. i lived about 40 feet from the doors of plaza cafe, and while it was convenient to shuffle down and get food in my pj's, it was more common for us to bring back food and eat in the comfort of our suite. plus there's no rule that you need to stick to your dining hall; with the shuttle stop right next to camp snoopy, you can go anywhere on campus (or off)

you'll get a more detailed floor plan (for the res halls) when actual room selection begins, i think. i know i kept mine...

here's the floor plans for 6th housing
