My application was withdrew because my gpa did not meet the SJSU Business accounting GPA threshold of 3.2gpa. My transfer gpa is about 3.0. However, the reason it is so low is because prior to majoring in business accounting, I majored in Bioengineering. The courses I took includes Biology, Physics w/ Engineering, and Chemistry. All this courses I passed but did with C's. For 2 years I had focus in bioengineering, but recently switched to business accounting since last Fall. So far, I have taken Statistic, Calculus, Business accounting, Business law, Econ Micro and Macro. All of these I got a GPA of 3.5 which is my business major related.

Could I do an Appeal for them to reconsider my application and tell them that the reason my gpa was so low at 3.0 was the fact that I majored in Bioengineering taking difficult courses, but ever since switching major, I have done well?

Anyway, to the OP, if your gpa is below the 3.05, then you may be out of luck. It never hurts to call and ask or file an appeal, but some state schools are definite in their thresholds.
