How common is it for Williams students to be on the ski patrol at a nearby ski resort? Is it easy to get to and from the mountain, and how hard is it to get a job there?

Some students work at Jiminy Peak, which is about a 25-minute drive from campus.

Is there a shuttle to take kids there?

I believe some students can also help teach P.E. skiing classes (paid, and with transportation provided), but I'm not sure about that.

The outing club runs a shuttle during Winter Study that leaves campus around 12:30pm and returns around 4:30 - timed to correspond with the discounted January afternoon passes that Jiminy Peak sells to students. The shuttle probably wouldn't be very helpful for a ski patroller, though, since you'd probably need more time flexibility.

In the past, there's also been either a Winter Study class to learn/train how to become a member of the ski patrol and/or a ski patrol PE class that might possibly satisfy one of the quarter requirements (I'm not entirely sure, but at least one or the other, if not both, options have been offered).
