SMC Transferring to UCLA (Business Econ) Need help with classes

Hey guys, I'm gonna be going to SMC for the Fall 2008 semester, and my plan is to transfer to UCLA (business econ major) asap. I need to start adding my classes and stuff, so I went to ASSIST to see what I needed...but it seems kinda short, (and also the agreement is 07-08). Can any of you guys give me what classes I need? It's pretty confusing with all the IGETC and stuff like that. What would be the easiest path? Thanks for any info..

follow the assist. that is your requirement, u will also need a bunch of GE courses in IGETC

ohh alright. So the classes for the articulation are required classes right? What about the IGETC classes? Aren't those required also?

Your goal at CC is to complete the class equivalents of all the classes you would take as a freshman and sophomore at UCLA(in this case).

The IGETC is an outline of general education classes accepted by most UC majors as completion of lower division class work. The classes Assist gives you, are usually lower division, major specific(ish) classes, that will prepare you for the specific major.

IGETC are the GE classes you need to complete and the classes shown on assist are the prereqs for your major. It's highly recommended that you complete both to get the best chance at getting admitted.
