Snack food? Breakfast food?

What should I eat before the ACT? What about a snack? Tell me your good luck foods!

For breakfast, I had a bagel with cream cheese and jam and a glass of orange juice.

I brought a peanut snack bar and a pack of M&Ms to eat during the test. I ended up eating the snack bar during the break and tossing back handfuls of M&Ms during the shorter rest periods between sections.

I didn't feel any fatigue at all (I have on past practice tests), so I'll definitely pack the same stuff for Round 2 a week from now.

Definately bring a snack and eat a really good breakfast before the test. I made the mistake of forgetting a snack... and it sucked to hear my stomach growling for half the test.

Eat a good sized breakfast before the test. Like... cereal, some fruit, oj. Protein is probably good, too. For the snack, bring something that you can eat relatively quickly because you won't have too much time to relax. And don't forget water!

does anyone have experience with taking caffeine for the test?

I have not tried caffeine..
But don't try anything that your body isn't use to.

I just had an egg and an english muffin
My snack was a choclate energy bar, and powerade

Did not get tired at all

I don't think caffeine (extra caffeine, that is...as in chomping down pills) would be worthwhile or effective, unless for some reason you pulled an all-nighter before the test. Regular carbs, etc. should be fine.

personally I'm gonna bring 2x5hrs energy drinks. Drink one before test, 1 during the break. Their are just a sip, so it wont take long to drink and they wont make me go to the bathroom. If you are going to do this, drink a few before test to see how your body reacts to them.

Do they have guarana in them or something? I'm gonna experiment with taking some 200mg caffeine while taking a practice test and see what the difference is. I have trouble concentrating, and CNS stimulants are proven to improve concentration and help process information more quickly. Just a thought..

It has about as much cafeen as 1 cup of coffee, very low on sodium(10mg), 1870mg of energy blend , you can probably find the supplement facts of it onlie.

-i have been playing basketball today for hours, my body is exhausted but i'm still so hyper from those 2 shots...my mind is really focused...trying to find something do something to kill time ....lol.

is it the chaser 5 hour energy? I tried one once and it tasted horrible, but hey whatever helps.

it comes in various flavors-berry tastes pretty good- still there not much to drink, just a shot. Some bottles say chaser on them some don't, and they are about $3 dollars per bottle.
