hmm. I read in a thread below that applicants do not need to send the official trnascripts in before they're accepted to the college. and UCs don't request any letter of recommendations either.

does this mean the only thing we have to send are the actual applications (either online or paper) and the official score reports from collegeboard?

if that's the case, wow, I'm surprised at their honor system.

PS. can the application still be submitted even if one does not meet the a-g requirement?
In my case, the page indicates a 1 for the perfoming/visual arts credit lol.
Berkeley specifies that its recommended, not required.

Yes, but it would be pretty pointless to lie, because when they found out, they would immediately kick you out. Remember that all UC acceptances are conditional, so they can reverse them at any time.

huh? conditional?? wat if i pick to go to UCSd or something and then they reject me at the last minute??? ***, then i end up going to a community college???

Calm down, confucius.
From what I understand, as long as you remain UC-eligible for the remainder of your senior year after you've been accepted (i.e. graduate, complete a-g requirements, and maintain either 3.0 or 3.2 GPA- I can't remember which), you will be fine. Oh, also as long as you don't lie on your application. But that's kind of a given.

Yes, you do, Soccersuzie. You should have already specified when you signed up to take the SATs where you wanted to send them, but if you didn't, you can still send them from collegeboard, it will just cost money. I don't think they need to be sent by the application deadline, but I imagine ASAP is best.

thanks katalina, i only took my SAT's once at the beginning of junior year, so I didn't really send them to any college since I had not a clue where to send to... so, going to waste money now.

so UC's, need to send SAT scores by December. yet, transcripts are only after you get in. correct?

bluebayou. they accept december test score too?

from all respect, may I ask where you get this info. from?

(hmm. I was intending on rush-reporting my nov. score if they turned out to be better than my previous. if they accept Dec scores also, which I have already signed up for, then what date should I send the official report?)
