I didn't get Calc. 1 in the winter and now I won't have all of my pre-reqs completed by spring for UCLA! What do I do?

You are screwed. Good luck next year.

Why don’t you try to add it at a different college?

I’ve tried several different colleges…I still was not able to successfully add the class…should I call ucla and explain my situation?

You could take Calculus 1 during the Spring term and Calculus 2 during the Summer. UCLA probably will not like that but might go along with it if you are strong applicant with all your other prerequisites done. If you call UCLA, try to get an idea if finishing your prerequisites in the Summer rather than the Spring might be acceptable to them.

Yeah all of my other pre-reqs are done and my major gpa is a 4.0 so far…thanks for the advice, I’ll call them today.

Does anyone else think UCLA is still possible with one pre-req missing by the spring?

completely possible, depending on major. if it’s highly impacted, chances are ‘worse.’ if it’s not impacted…well, i was missing seven pre-reqs…

jesus, 7 pre-reqs are alot lol…I’m applying as a Biz. Econ major but I have a 3.79 gpa, TAP certified and a 4.0 major gpa…hopefully I still get in. I’ll be missing 1 pre-req only.

yeah it’s amazing i’m still scheduled to graduate on time. however, bizecon and comm are probably the two worst possible majors to miss a pre-req. you may want to consider how much you like your alternate choice just in case…

I chose Math/Econ as my alternate major and the only extra class I need is Calc.3 to fulfill the pre-reqs. I wouldn’t mind getting accepted for my alt. major, although there is going to be alot of math involved…-_-‘’
