So I got in for Spring 2010...........

First of all, grats to all that made it! And remember, IT IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD IF YOU DID NOT MAKE IT IN! Just do ur best at wherever you go.

Here is the thing. I apparently did not know that UF put some of its accepted students in the Spring term (I applied Summer). What should I do in the time leading up to the Spring semester? The main reason this (getting into spring) bothers me is that I may not get the full school spirit for the remainder of that academic year (ending in summer). For arguments sake lets say the football games.

I live in Miami, would I be better off knocking off a few courses at my local community college in the fall, or should i move up to Gainesville and do the same in Santa Fe so that i can get somewhat of a Gator experience? Or should I just work through the summer and fall to save $ for college? Or anything else you can suggest.

Thanks

Go to Santa Fa, you wanna be at the SWAMP!

Do what it is best for you, comm college or money. but you will still get the school spirit especially if you go to Santa Fe and hang out at UF with your friends and whatnot until January gets here; join clubs, organizations-Santa Fe students are allowed. But making money is good too.

My D got in for Spring too. She's going to move to Gainesville and go to Santa Fe until January. It's just one semester. I was told they accepted 400 students for January versus denying them.

well i think im leaning towards santa fe

ill talk t my counselor about it tomorrow

santa fe won't be so bad, people lok down on the option b/c its a cc or now a college, but its the same college as if you were in high school doing dual enroll. not saying this is how you think, but you should see what your gc says.
