Thanks You Guys be honest but not mean-I already know my chances are slim I want to know if ED would Help.

I think you are being a little hard on yourself… I wouldnt say your they’re slim. Actually, I think they’re somewhat good. I mean, you could bulk up your EC’s, and possibly your testing, but I think you should eb most concerned with you essay. That is what is going to separate you from the rest. Other than that, there will be a lot of applicants in a similar boat as you.

I think you have a great chance. Your ECs are light, but that can be “enhanced” rather easily. Comes down to the app- the essays need to be killer.

As a point of reference, our D is an incoming freshman this year. She applied ED, and got in last Dec. We believe if you show alot of interest, and let them know WashU is the ONLY place you want to be, that will help you. Visit campus, send a thank you note to your interviewer, attend any local info sessions in your home town (be sure to sign in).

Note that WashU is notorious was WLing “overqualified” applicants. They don’t want to be just another school on your list. They tend to accept many of those great, smart borderline applicants that maybe would not get into the ivies, but are well qualified for WashU. Applying ED tells them that WashU is the place for you.

Our D stats were:

Sat Verb- 740
Sat Math- 670
ACT Comp- 32
GPA: not sure how they calculate it, but numerically she had a 94.5 avg.

about 7 AP classes
varsity volleyball
Some school-required community stuff

Great recs and really great essays.

Hope this helps.
Good luck!
