Is physics like neccessary for someone who isn't going premed or anything like that? Because honestly, I'd rather take AP Bio any day. Do colleges look down on people who don't???? Gosh, I must sound like such a newb...

I'm not really sure what you're asking.
If you were going pre-med AP bio would be a lot more useful than physics.
I think a lot of your classes aren't really going to be "useful" to you in college, and you should be taking them to get into college not to prepare yourself for the major that you're going to change.

Well, yeah, that's what I was wondering. Do college's want their prospective students to have taken physics in high school. Sorry that I didn't phrase it correctly.

Physics = engineering / math
Bio = premed

However, having the three fundamental sciences is important in a well rounded science person.

Honestly, I'd go with what I wanted to do. As long as you replaced Physics with AP Bio, you should be fine, seeing as you're taking a science class anyway.

Why do you want to skip Physics? You can take AP Bio as a senior, or even double up during junior year by dropping electives / language. (I'm assuming you're currently a sophomore)

Maybe you should just double up.
I'm dropping spanish so I can take a second year of AP chem and physics as well

Thank you so much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well... the thing is I really hate physics. I loathe it. And I'm completely awful at it. On the other hand Bio is something that I love and am pretty good at. Plus, AP Bio at my school is the toughest class, and I don't want to take it senior year with another four or five APs. I've been thinking about doubling up, but the only way i could manage to do it and still have time for any social studies classes would be to not to a full year English course. That doesn't seem very smart.

physics is on the MCAT...only algebra based though...

The smart (and right) choice would be to take AP Bio. No point in taking a class you hate.

thank you all again!
