So, I just got home from an after school club meeting and decided to check the mail. I see a medium sized envelope sticking out of the mailbox. In the corner, I see the USC logo. My heart immediately starts racing. I get a little excited. I run into the house and open up the envelope. I thought it was a little too small to be an acceptance letter, but the envelope was pretty thick. I open up the envelope and see a letter addressed to my parents. It goes on to talk about how they are pleased that I applied to USC and how the financial aid process works. I'll admit, I was a little disappointed. The reason why the envelope was kinda thick was because it came with a booklet that talks about paying for college. I'm not mad. It was good to finally hear from USC, but a small part of me was hoping that it was an acceptance letter. I'm so lame. =P Anyways, thought I'd share. Good Luck Everybody!!!!

lol i got the same thing today

yeah that would be really dissappointing. Did you apply by December 1st?

Agreed. I just hope this is a good sign of things to come.

yup, I finished applying like two weeks before the December 1 deadline.....I think?

Wow the same thing just happened to me a few minutes ago. Such a let down, but whatever :p

haha the same exact thing happend to me >.< i really hope thats a good sign.
rather dissappointing though

I just received that today even though it was postmarked 1/23. 18 freaking days!

Am I right in saying that just because we got a booklet on financial aid doesn't mean that we aren't being considered for a scholarship?

I dunno since I got that same financial aid booklet and am being considered for a scholarship.
But I have a feeling if you're being considered for a Trustee or Presidential (Maybe Dean's?) those letters would have been sent already.
