USC attacked my mailbox!

OY! I got THREE letters from USC today: one saying I'm not getting Trustees/Presidential, one saying I need to submit midyear grades (which I already did...), and one saying they need my 2007 tax returns.

Looks like USC is finally starting to send mail to the masses! If you don't get these letters in the next couple of days, give admissions a call.

Great thread title- good luck!

Yea I got the financial aid for tax forms and no trustee/presidential. Seems some people who got these got acceptances last year first week of march so here's hoping.

sorry to hear, but good luck in your other colleges

I only got the first letter.

sjwilson still has a good chance- nobody should think these letters have anything to do with rejection!

cc411 you are right. i meant sorry about not getting the trustee/pres. you definitely still have a chance at USC as well as their other scholarships, such as Dean's

lucky. All I've gotten lately was a request for more fin aid crap. My status hasn't even been updated for five weeks.

Oh god, I just realized: 6 weeks till April 1st! This is agonizing. I keep dreaming about getting rejected everywhere. Which is stupid because I've gotten into KU (hard stuff. the app took me half an hour and they accepted me before they even saw my transcript)

I got all three letters today too.
Even tho I knew what they would be, the 'little envelope' always freaks me out. :-)

I only got the letter saying I was not chosen for scholarships.
I'm sure that's because I submitted my midyear grade twice by mistake? haha.

I've received the letters about scholarships and grades, but not about submitting tax returns. Does anyone know if that's a bad sign?

haha, right after I whined I looked through the mail, which I swear I already sorted for college crap, and got the tax returns letter and the "you didn't get the trustees/pres scholarship"

yeah i got that letter that told me i didn't get the trustees/pres. scholarship but i was "still being considered for other scholarships." honestly, i didnt even know about the first two haha. and they're telling me that they don't have my midyear grades which were sent at the end of january... so i'm not sure if thats bad or if its just because i live in louisiana...haha

You got a letter saying you need to submit midyear grades? That's weird. I never got one of those...only the one saying that I didn't get one of the two major scholarships. Hum...

vienna it was in that letter.

whats the deal with this tax return request letter...

does everybody get it? if not, who does and doesnt? is it like a need-based financial aid thing or is it something everyone who had their stuff in by dec 10th gets?

classic3020- Yeah, I saw that part...but that's it, right?

acm- I would assume that the tax return request letter has to do with need-based financial aid.

i received two little envelopes today...and every time something like this comes from USC....i freaaaakkk out. I tore the envelope apart...and the letter was like "Thank you for applying to USC. I am pleased......" and then it said "I am pleased that you have considered USC and we wanted to verify your information."

I nearly jumped for joy for a minute

The tax return request is standard. Most if not all privates need copies of the returns if one is applying for financial aid, and many schools require the info by March 1. I believe that USC is beginning to need get the applicants' stuff together so that an eventual fin aid package can be prepared.

vienna- ya that's it. or at least that's exactly what i got and i assumed that meant to send your senior grades. i didn't wait for any other notification.
