<p>Hopefully you have good options outside the US too, especially if you need much aid.</p>

<p>The post above reflects information I think is commonly confused. To me it is incorrect. I do not believe ECs can overshadow scores for internationals unless they are major national honors. As it takes skills to get those honors, kids with those generally have high scores too.</p>

<p>This international board is leaning towards very unrealistic. There is money only for they very exceptional in every way. Even for full paying, the competition is now very tough from many countries. There is money everywhere now. It is also in vogue for the powerful from all over to go to school in the US. How many from Pakistan have applied to Harvard since Bhutto went?</p>

<p>So with lower scores than these schools averages, your chances are near zero if asking for money and not great any place if you need more than half COA.</p>
