so...after only having a choice between UVa, UMCP, Purdue and Rutgers...i chose UVa ...however, I was taken off the waitlist for UMich as a first year Engineering student...and now...i have no clue where to go...please help me decide :o ....
.................money isn't that much of an issue and neither is location..I am mostly concerned about reputation, salaries etc...
any input is appreciated and thanks in advance! :)

bump......

like it was discussed in the other topic, if you are going to be a ME, you don't care which school you goto for salary.

i know UMich has better eng rep and about equal overall rep (to me at least) to UVa...

so... ok. goto UMich, eh.

nah im not doin ME.. im doin CompE ....
i thought i shoud go to UMich as well...thanks forthe input man!

Are you instate for UVa? If not, UMich is definitely a better choice.

im OOS for both...

Yeah, definitely choose UMich (unless you've visited UVa and really love it...). It's pretty much as reputable as UVa, since they're both respected public schools, only UMich is a top engineering school as well, while UVa is not.

UMich is pretty awesome. If I had a choice I'd go there over UVa

UMich engineering is much better known than UVa.. but that's only one thing, although prestige and being well-known is highly valued on CC.

I'd say UMich--it is a wonderful school and has a damn good engineering program.
