Did people apply for this scholarship (BN)?

No--people are selected for it based on their admissions applications. Also, it's only for people from NC and SC. The website says they're supposed to contact finalists in late February.

n.o.t.h.i.n.g.

:(

this is getting old.

when i check my checklist on the website the mid-year report is not even listed as an item!!! how can i know that they received it or not? my mail- box is empty today too!!

The mailbox was...........

empty.

Anticlimactic much??
I agre with duckyy, it's getting very old :(

I got one. Hispanic recruitment program!!!! I AM SO HAPPY

nothing. looks like they're pulling a Vanderbilt (only likelies to URMS)

I got the Hispanic Recruitment letter as well! Can we assume this is a likely letter? It says "Once again, please accept my warmest congratulations on your academic and extracurricular achievements." Sounds pretty good to me. Especially because the program runs through March 29, almost the day we'll hear officially. At this point in the process, they wouldn't recruit just anybody, right? Only likelies?

I hope that the above is true since I also got one

Likely letters may be a tough issue as Duke accepted about a third of its class ED. That coupled with record applications I am sure is causing a delay as they go through the applications with a fine tooth comb.

I'd say the Hispanic Recruitment invitation is as good as accepted....just don't do anything stupid ;).

WHERE ARE THEY??? ;)
but seriously. are they not sending them out this year? *** :(

I'm wondering the same thing.

yea, i'm looking out for the african american invite thing too...

where are these magical letters???? did no one on cc get one?

I certainly did not! :)

Nothing for me either :(

Nothing for me either.

It's kind of like the golden tickets from Willy Wonka though, isn't it? Hahahaha

it's almost too late now.

Nothing yet. It would be hilarious if Duke decided to just forget the likely letters.
