No decision yet in Central New York.

I live near Binghamton and have also not received a decision. I believe that MConklin said the next wave is being mailed on March 22nd.

Yes, next wave on March 22nd. I just received word that some letters will go out on the 25th as well, and the majority of those letters will not be admits, though a few may be still.

D received acceptance yesterday, postmarked 3/14.

what is the chance of being accepted (as accurate as possible) if I receive letter on the 3rd wave

surfboy, I believe the third wave is composed entirely of acceptance letters, while the fourth wave is the one containing a majority of rejection letters. If this is the case, then you shouldn’t fret if you receive a package postmarked on the 22nd.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m terribly anxious; I’m trying to compose myself- alas, it is to no avail. I’m constantly looking up statistics and refreshing myroc.
C’mon, step-o-meter, crawl just a bit forward!

Thanks Magnificent, maybe I messed up. I am an international student and we are on spring break currently. I called Rochester this morning and they said mine will be mailed next week, though they didn’t tell me which wave. Ahhh I am so nervous right now.

Haven’t heard anything in the LA area yet! Really nervous, ahh! :(

MConklin : Does U of R have a wait list and when will those student be notified? Do you know about how many students are accepted off the wait list in a typical year?

Just to clarify - the wave that is sent on the 22nd will include Admits, Waitlists, and Denies. I do not know what percentage of each will be sent on the 22nd though, and do not want to project what that might look like without any confidence in my projection.

With regard to the waitlist… students will be notified of their status on the waitlist within the next two weeks, but won’t find out whether or not they are being admitted from the waitlist until late May or early June. Typically, very few students (if any) are admitted from the waitlist. In my four years here I don’t think I’ve ever seen more than 5-10 students admitted from the waitlist. That being said, students that are placed on the waitlist that contact us and let us know of their continued interest are the most likely to be admitted if we do in fact go to the waitlist.
