So, who's going?

i thought they used hella in southern california too
haha hella is a hella wierd word

ackk i cant wait to go to uc davis this fall :D

Yeah...I don't know what to think about the whole "freeway through the campus" thing....=/

Hope they mean a bicycle freeway like in pokemon!

Oh yeah, there are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO many bikes at Davis. It's crazy. Whenever I go to Davis to visit my brother, I almost get run over by a bike at least 5 times.

There's some pretty good restaurants and cafes at Davis. There's this place called Cafe Mediterranee...it's SOOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. Oh and Fuji's...$10 all you can eat sushi. But they're always packed.

There's no free-ways in Davis.. what are you talking about? lol

I think salmonscrubs is talking about I-80.

I'm a food nazi when it comes to sushi. Scale of 1 to 10 how would you rate their sushi quality at Davis? Do they have the good expensive stuff? eg: Toro, Hamachi, Mirugai etc xD

HAHA. Hmm...they're not the best quality, but they're decent for their price (btw, they don't offer the $10 sushi buffet the whole day long...I don't remember when it's offered, but yeah...). Ignoring their price and just rating the sushi, I would give it....a 7. HAHA. The thing is, I don't like warm sashimi. It's just gross. They put their sushi on one of those boat/river thingies, so some of the stuff on there may have been floating around for hours. But you can also ask the chefs to make you new ones and stuff if you ask. From what I remember, yes, they have toro, hamachi, and miruagi. I only eat salmon sashimi, so I don't really pay attention to anything else haha. Yeah, hope that helped! HAHA

Man what is up with people and salmon sushi lol... in all honest fact, it's the worst and cheapest sushi out there :</p>

O welps, at least there IS a sushi bar in Davis :P

Oh..yeah..the I-80. =D Sorry.

Salmon sushi is hecka good!! (There goes the NorCal in me!) I like the taste of pretty much all other sashimi, but I hate the scaly, rough textures. That's why I only eat salmon sashimi--it tastes good (in my opinion) and it's slimy :S YUM!

collegemom16,

HAHAH! I like the second link you posted. It's so strange and interesting how, though we live in the same state, NorCal and SoCal people talk in different styles.

It is so funny to hear my d's SoCal friends refer to the I-80. The NorCal kids always say, a little annoyed, it's just 80 not the I-80!

Wow thanks for the link collegemom! Zen Toro looks amazingly good :) One more reason Davis is looking awesome to me lol

Such a trivial matter such as placing "the" or "I" in front of a highway seems to be causing too much annoyance for what it is xD.

You are welcome! Be sure to visit downtown Sacramento and go to Kru for sushi. It is the best in the area! But be prepared to pay for it.

Don't worry too much about the "The" or "I" annoyance it's all in good fun!

I would say THE 80. No 'i'

I'd say "The I-80" xD is that weird?

While at UCD just say 80. Everyone from NorCal will be blown away that you said it right! Remember 5 borders Davis on the other side. (the way to the airport)
