just wondering if there are fellow lonely souls out there who will be spending turkey day and weekend in good ol berkeley... most people i know who are staying are internationals.

what are you guys gonna do for food? heard that lots of places will be closed :O and companionship?? it'll be so empty/lonely...

My roommate and I are staying (we’re from SoCal…and sophomores in dorms). We asked a friend to get her keys so we can cook at her apartment for the thanksgiving week. If we don’t cook, we’ll go out for food (I heard from my roommate’s ex-roommate who is an international student that Berkeley is a ghost town during thanksgiving and that a lot of restaurants are closed…so she went to SF for food…depends if you want good food xD)

I’m super-duper excited and I’m up at 3:30 cuz I’m not even close to tired I’m from out of state and I haven’t seen my family since move-in day in August so I’m soooo happy to be seeing them again :D

And to answer your question, no, I’m not gonna be staying in Berkeley over Thanksgiving :’(

Transferred from San Diego but no known family so I’ve always just worked or hung out by myself on holidays…Was gonna go to Vegas for vacation over winter break but I don’t have enough money. If anybody finds a free student dorm/coop/etc thanksgiving let me know :)
