Well at least your state isn't the fattest state in the WHOLE United States.

Texas = obese.

Yayyy.

Texas' temperature isn't warm. It's more like scalding.
And really really really REALLY bipolar.
It'll be 90 degrees one day, and 2 days later, it'll be 30.

That's how it was on last Thurs & Sat.

CUHRAYZAY RIGHT?

I'm applying to
Lawrenceville, Andover, Deerfield, St. Andrew's (DE), Milton, Hotchkiss & Choate :]

Hahah to DiveAlive:

The Dallas Cowboy stadium is actually getting moved from Dallas to my city :) They already have the new stadium mostly built, about 10 min from my house. It's AWESOME.

LOL well at least you don't get people asking you if you live on a farm and ride around on horses and eat pork and beans all day xD

The school I go to right now sucks too.
It's super ghetto and we have fights pretty much every day.

I know someone who goes to a boarding school, Groton, in Massachusetts, and its sooooooo beautiful and nice and huge!!!! im so jealous because i go to a california public school with really good academics but crappy facilities :/

Talk to me when you come to Idaho. You'll see boring, and cow/deer state then. At least you have some decent states surrounding you. I have Montanna, Washington, and Oregon.

I'm applying to an arts school. I want to be able to pursue my passion of English and music in an enviorment where most of the teachers know what they're doing. I have English teachers who have stopped telling me what needs to be corrected and resorted to asking me if that's the proper thing to do.

I know I'm going to end up as either and English or a music major, and I want to get a head start.

Plus my public high school is terrible. First and foremost you should see the proposed state education budget this year. (They want to spend 2 million on a private Catholic school for a commons room, while my school doesn't have working sinks in the bathrooms and many of our class rooms still have chalk boards. Our calculaters in Algebra II are 20 years old.)

Many of the students just aren't driven, which is very irratating for me. In my Honor English class a girl asked what the word "biased" meant. Today in Honors Biology she asked what "amnesia" is. Is it just me, or is something wrong?

clarinet, piano, melodica, and a bit of ukulele. LOL.

gah, i'm caught between groton too. it's like.. tiny, and i keep flip-flopping on whether i think that's good or not. sometimes, i think it'd be great to be so close to your peers, but then again, i might get bored (probably, LOL) of the same 70 people during the crucial 4 years of my life.. psh. well, i still have a year to decide ;)

trust me go to a bigger school. I go to a private school now with about 60 kids in my grade and I really like all of them but honestly, I'm getting bored of em.

These are in no particular order and some of them sort of overlap, but here's my list of reasons:

Explore New Subject Areas

Expand Written and Oral Skills

Develop Great Relationships with peers and adults

Gain Experience working with diverse people

Develop thoughts and opinions and have outlets for reflection

Try new sports/arts not offered in current community

Be a part of a tight-knit community

Become more independent

Get a solid base for whatever path I choose in life

Have fun

I wanna go so I can pursue my career in Astrophysics (amazing observatory) without sacrificing my Extracurricular needs such as in the sports and the arts.
