Not to bring up an unpleasant topic, but here goes--what are all of you doing who tried to transfer but didn't get into any? Are you still going back to your old school, and if so, what do you think will change it? If not, what are you doing, and will it help you transfer the following year? I'm still deciding.

hey, didn't you apply to Dartmouth? :D
i was a reject AGAIN!, applying AGAIN(last time)
I am returning to my old school, where i'll try to continue my study.
applying to Dartmouth is almost another one of my ECs, i have been pursuing it for 2 years now, 3hrs/week, 30weeks/year LOL, and sadly, i am not kidding.

i got rejected from all of the top schools i applied to. i'm still waiting to hear back from the 'not as competitive' schools. i am really hoping NOT to return to my old school -_-

I applied to four schools: UChicago, UPenn, Northwestern, and NYU. So far I've been rejected from Penn, waitlisted by Chicago, and accepted by NYU (on the condition that I start off my first semester in London).

If I get rejected by Chicago/Northwestern I'm staying in Baruch. I don't want to settle for my 4th choice (NYU). However, I WILL eventually transfer as I really don't want to get my diploma from here, for starters. So I will apply to Chicago next year if I don't get in this year.

I had it all planned. Since I completed all my classes at CC, if I wasn't admitted anywhere, I was going to drive to Camp Pendleton and say bye bye to the next 4 years.

yeah jacknjill, baruch is SO much cheaper than nyu. i don't think nyu would be worth it either. good luck with chicago and nu!

Thanks. The rest would have been worth it but I wouldn't want to put my family in a tough financial situation for NYU CAS. I'm even having doubts about Chicago and Northwestern, but I'll think about that if I get in :)

nicopico; thats fawkin hilarious. lol.

SoCalBum

newbyreborn, I'm in the same situation with dartmouth. Can't decide if I've got enough pride to try again next year. I'm still waiting to hear back from Northwestern, but unfortunately I was stupid in the application process for the millionth (okay, okay, second) time, and didn't apply to nearly enough schools. I could go back to my school next year, but I don't want to spend a year I don't really want to be at, you know? But that leaves me trying to think of a good year off, which seems pretty impossible... any thoughts?
