I’m an RD admit for the class of 2019 and I was just wondering about social life at Barnard in general. I am definitely the kind of person who relies on an active social life/scene to stay happy. My academics have always come first and always will and I’m not looking for a huge party school or anything,however, it is factoring into my decision. I’ve done tons of reasearch on this school and this is the only thing that remains unclear. Any information would be helpful!
Get involved in an activity that interests you and you will be fine. Orientation week will provide many opportunities to meet and connect with people, and there are campus-wide groups (Columbia University campus, that is) that you can find out about then…musical groups, dance organizations, clubs, etc.
It might be to your benefit to do an overnight there , if you still have that chance.
