well, how's the social life?

It's in ATL. 'nuff said.

not really considering i've never been in atlanta.

well... its tech so its not wonderful. But remember there is GSU across the street.

I hate to say it, but its what you make of it. It also doesn't come to you... you must seek it out but its there.

I have yet to be able to explain why social life at GT is a bit lacking. Honestly Atlanta is okay, but its not very 'college friendly'. There are things to do but it depends on what you are looking for. There are few college bars or places like that.

buckhead is close and UGA is only an hour and a half away:)

Ah, Buckhead. How I love thee.

If you want a social life, buy a car. Atlanta=sprawl. But, I've lived here for my entire life and I love it here.

the fraternites have wierd names..
but the parties seem to be good: http://aio-gatech.com/Gallery.html

Fraternities/Sororities do provide some social interaction, however I would not rush them the first semester. Stay here a semester (maybe a year) outside of a frat and decide if its really for you. There is a big disjoint between frat and non-frat people.

If you rush your first year you will never see the school from the non-frat perspective. Give youself the time to decide if thats what you want.

how often to people party at GaTech?...and how wild are the parties, considering that the school is 70% guys...

^^^ quoting my personal guide when i visited Tech, its a "sausage fest". Take it for what it's worth, but I would go elsewhere to party.

haha....thats what i thought....so where would you recommend to go party? UGA...GSU...???

UGA always. But GSU is right down the street so if you find a good party there, then that'd be good
