Social Sciences at Wellesley

I used to detest the idea of a all-female college but I guess I've changed my mind. I'm really excited about applying so I want to know more about Wellesley.

How are the Economics/ Political Science/ Gender Studies departments at Wellesley? Where does Wellesley's academic strength lie? (like I heard that Mount Holyoke is good at engineering)

coolcc, Wellesley's Economics and Political Science departments are two of the largest on campus. They have some of the most renowned experts in their fields who are professors. An example is Karl "Chip" Case, who is a housing market expert and has been quoted/interviewed in the news recently due to the housing/mortgage problems. Also, the highest number of females who earn a PhD in Economics graduated from Wellesley. And we all know the strength of the Poli Sci department and the numerous alumnae in Washington D.C.

In terms of Wellesley's other academic strengths, I'd say English, Biology, and Psychology.
