I am a nevada resident planning to go OOS (to California, no less) and was wondering if there any good scholarships for me. I have a 3.75 uw and 4.5 w gpa. Im a white female and my parents make about 80,000 together. I plan to major in business.
The best scholarships come from the universities themselves.
SDSU is a California public school funded by the State of California’s residents. Their priority admission goes to instate residents whose parents pay the taxes. California students are eligible for grants through the state. OOS are not.
Their costs for OOS residents are full fees close to $40K per year. That is half of your parent’s income which is really unaffordable. You are only eligible for $5500 during your first year. Where will you get the $34,500 for the rest of the costs?
SDSU is an impacted campus, which means it is full.
If you want to come to school in California, with funding, you should check out the privates. They are expensive, but have more money and can be generous for some students. Make sure you post your test scores.

As stated by @“aunt bea”, as an OOS student do not expect any financial aid from SDSU accept any Federal aid you may be eligible. OOS students which attend SDSU are expected to pay full fees.
