I'm commuting from about 15 minutes away from campus, and I have some questions that I'd like to hear the student perspective on.

Did you get a locker? I went to look at them today, and they looked kind of small (in the library), but my mom wants me to get one.

Where did you park/how are the buses? From what I've heard I should park in the south lot and take the bus. Most of my classes are at 8:05/8:40 - do I have a shot at getting a parking spot closer to the academic mall?

Did you go to any of the commuter events (Lunch and Learn/commuter connections)? Were there a lot of people there?

I am a train commuter and it sucks, but if you have a car, it should not be an issue. You have the freedom to come and go as you want.

I didn;t get a locker but it might be useful. The only things I can think of that would be useful for would be to keep books, clothes, etc. If you will be doing the majority of your work in the school, it might be worth it to have your books around.

There are buse every 10 min or so from the south p.

I have not attended any of the events, but if they are just of cimmuters, I would guess they are not that popular.

1) Didn’t get a locker, didn’t really need one.

2) South P is the easiest to park because there are so many parking spots. Express buses come every few minutes and take you to the academic mall. You could get parking at North P if your classes are at 8:05, but i’d still go for South P since you get the express buses from there.

3) I didn’t go to the commuter events, maybe I should have though, as it’s hard meeting people as a commuter.

Out of curiosity, are you commuting from home or did you rent out an apartment/room?

Just keep extras I your car…that’s what I do and I live 20 min away. I never went to a commuter event but it is because they fell on incinvinient times for me
