Assignment: Do actions, not words, reveal a person or group's true attitudes and intentions?

Essay:

"Action speak louder." Through our daily interactions with one another, we tend to form a mental image of the others by what they say. However, what reveals one's true personality? Action does. Since people can be rhetoric or timid, merely depending on what they say can confuse us. Therefore, by observing one's action, we can understand who he or she really is.

Through out history, actions conveying one's thought can be found in many cases. Adolf Hitler, the great leader of Germany during WWII, best exemplifies such theory. When he was highly announcing his political ideas in Europe, many countries favored his assertions. He signed MolotovRibbentrop Pact-- an protective contract-- with the Soviet Union, basing on their little knowledge of each other. When the war broke out, the Soviet Union found something weird about Hitler's deployment. They, thus, gave up on harmony and attacked each other.

It was also true from my own study. I like psychology, and therefore I tend to observe people's relation between their speaking and their action. What I found interesting is that those who brag themselves the most are usually the least active ones. On the other hand, those who speak the least, but most critical, have the best attitudes in a positive way. Such observation taught me a lesson of the importance of real action.

From the example of Hitler and my own observation. Action does reveal more information about a person. Although we tend to buy one's words at the start, e eventually find out the true quality in his or hers action.

P.S. I know that I have made numerous grammatical errors, but in order to make it fair, I typed out whatever I wrote down during the test of 25 minutes.

Thanks for grading my essay

By the way, I would like to discuss about essay topics related to 'deception', 'actions or words',and 'government or individuals.' These are really tough for me to come up with examples. Does that happen to you also?
