Someone please clarify! Do I still need a HS school report form sent?

I'm applying to USC as a transfer student. I just got off the phone with them but they were incredibly unhelpful and trying to rush me off the phone. The lady told me transfer students need to submit an official high school transcript but did not mention a high school profile or school report. Moreover, I keep reading forums about how transfer students don't need to complete the profile or report for their hs. However, the CommonApp specifies that all three are needed..
What did you guys do?

looking for the same answer. I know that we dont need a college report is you are a transfer. But regards to the profile and the grades I don’t know which is which haha. I tried calling earlier today, they were too busy to even answer…

Also on the common app under “writing” it makes us write a short answer of 1000 characters about our EC or work experience. then it says the personal essay which ask us why we want to transfer blah blah blah in 250-500 words… Is this really our essay prompt? I thought we had a choice of 6 questions… and under the supplement it just asks for a short answer about our major and academic goals… is this it? or am I missing something?

If you look at the USC supplement, there’s a full-in that says, “I will be a (first-year) (transfer)” . Below that, it says that transfer students are not required to submit the college report. So no, you do not need to submit the forms. To my understanding, you simply mail your official high school and college transcripts to USC.

You have to answer all questions. First-year applicants get to chose a prompt to answer. Transfer students answer, “why do you wish to transfer.” The supplement only has one essay, unless you’re applying to a specific major that requires one.

Thank you so much for the reply!! Makes much more sense now.

And yes, there are only the 2 questions under the common app and the 1 under the supplement.

good luck everyone!

amann,
Your statement regarding the inability to speak with a representative of the admissions committee may be a bit unrealistic on the last day for seniors to submit applications. I doubt if it is easy to connect with any large university admission’s department on the final application date. Unfortunately, hundreds wait until the last day to submit and the admissions office is inundated with calls which should have taken place days or weeks ago.

The deadline for transfer applications is February 1, 2013.
