Something to worry about?

Hi,
I was wondering... if I have a so-called "record" in my school-- not a criminal record, but a slight hinting that I might have suffered from depression (not very uncommon, I know...) during freshman and sophomore year, would that affect my admissions? It wasn't really anything bad-- nobody caught me doing anything and I didn't do anything "disturbing", but for a while I was very stressed out and had some dark thoughts.
Anyway, my guidance counselor knows a bit about it, but otherwise I'm a good student. How much would this impact me?
thx.

What prompted it? If it's something serious like family hardships, deaths, etc, it may go towards your favor.

My opinion-the high school counselor would have to mention it for them to know about it-as the "record" would not likely be on the transcript that is sent from the school.

That information should be confidential and your guidance counselor won't mention it in the rec unless you ask him/her to. Perhaps you should bring it up in a meeting.
