soon to be Transfer

hi. a texas resident.
from case western reserve univ.
3.44 GPA 14 college credits earned
pre-med. biochem major.

any chances
I have 6-8 credits from AP.

asked the admissions counselor and understand that high school stats don't count.

spring of 2009??? How about with the General Studies as second choice???

anyone? (10char)

I guess this means no chance for me (??)

It is spring 2009 right now. When are you planning on transferring? The deadline for fall has already passed, are you talking about next spring (2010?). At that point, you will have grades/hours from this semester and next fall, so your situation will be different.

yes, ag 54, I am talking about next spring… the spring of 2010. so perhaps then I can get some more classes under my belt. So at the time of my application, I would have 24 hours. but the application for spring 2010 is due by October 15th. so, by October 15th, I would only have 14 hours shown on my semester transcript. see the problem?

I kind of took the second semester off my freshman year.

Yeah. Take classes over the summer if you really want to be considered. I know some people who applied with less than 24 hours but, they are still waiting on thier descision so ill let you know if it works out.

Yes, it seems like having only 14 hours might hurt you from the standpoint that they wouldn’t have enough to evaluate what kind of student you are.

Good idea to take some summer classes (like at a CC). You could get some A’s which would help your gpa, and get some more hours under your belt.

Good luck!

Here is my question. I have a lot of AP credits that would satisfy me for the Category D requirements for the major I want to be (i.e. biochemistry). Should I “retake” those courses so that they “match” A&M’s needs (i.e. they only evaluate based on college courses). because then I would have to retake Chemistry, Physics, English, Calculus and other general classes.

Or what other classes should I take the next semester so that I “meet” the Category D requirements to have a firm footing for transfer?
