Sophomore classes?

I’ve been thinking about my schedule for next (sophomore) year for a few weeks now- yay class registration! It’s changed slightly over that time period but I think I’ve got what I want to do down.
For comparison, here are my freshman year classes and grades so far:
Debate (0 hour) : 96%
Honors English 9: 98%
Honors Physics: 96%
AP Euro: 95%
Advanced Orchestra: 103%
Spanish 1: 99%
Pre-Engineering: 98%
Health (online) : 98%
Pre-Calc (online) : 93% (could have retaken tests and done better, but I had the A is an A mentality cause our school doesn’t do +s and -s.)

Along with that my main extracurriculars are:
Rock climbing
Violin (orchestra, private lessons, play at mass for church)
Robotics (coached an FLL team (well technically mentored cause I’m not an adult but I put the team together and did 70% of the coaching work), part of school’s FRC team)
Debate (counting it as an extracurricular cause of the weekend time commitment and workload outside of class)

I’ve been managing this nicely, of course some weeks are better or worse than others but yeah. Of course, freshman year is supposed to be the easiest!

So, next year my current thoughts are:
Debate (0 hour) (again, time commitment is huge here, but as I was not the most focused person during the class last semester, I had more outside work to do than I could have had. The debate season is pretty much over for me this year because I haven’t been able to attend the last chance tournaments (robotics gets priority!) but next year I’ll try to sit in a more isolated corner of the library and not get distracted… but still, time commitment… that was really long sorry)
Honors Bio (according to physics teacher: lots of memorization, quizzes daily, expected to learn more about the topics on our own, big step up from 9th grade honors… I think it would probably take nightly studying of 30ish minutes for me. As my robotics teacher mentor person says “biology is yucky squishy things” oh well, we have to pass a eoc to graduate and this will probably be the only bio course I ever take, so might as well get something out of it)
Honors Spanish 2 (not too worried…)
AP Calc BC (logical choice for me, though I’m a bit worried it will be hard without Honors Pre-Calc… there wasn’t honors online… whatever, it will be math, I can deal with math. There will be homework every night (I’m guessing))
AP Computer Science (there’s not supposed to be homework in this class, it will be fun, my friends are doing it, and I’ve done programming before tho never had the discipline to teach myself a language fluently)
AP Physics C (I still need to talk to my Physics teacher (who also teaches this class) about this. Its supposed to be a 11th-12th grade course only, but from what I’ve seen, you can usually get out of pre-reqs and such with a little persuasion. I understand this will be a really hard course, but I love physics… especially the rush you get when you solve a difficult problem… anyway, I want to take this course because it will help me with the calc based physics courses I plan to take as a full-time running start student in 11th and 12th… trying to rack up credits for mechanical engineering major, I love the teacher, really want to take the class in high school um yeah)
Drafting and design (yay solidworks! I’m guessing it will have minimal homework because people don’t have solidworks at home, but yeah, its the next step in the engineering sequence and you can take a solidworks test at the end of the year that will get you jobs and stuff)
Fitness student athlete (online)
English 10 Honors (online) (English class moves way too slow and bores me to death :() (If I can’t get into AP Physics I’ll probably take a 6th period “online class work time” to do homework and online classes and such. I might also take USH online to get a graduation credit out of the way before running start. Then, I can study physics on my own muahahahahahahahaaha)

Extra Curriculars:
Debate
Rock climbing
Robotics
(Violin and especially orchestra just aren’t that interesting to me anymore… oh well)

So um yeah. Suggestions? Tips? Advice? Comments? How hard would this be? Changes I should make?

Wow! You have insanely tough classes when you become a sophomore. I definitely salute you for your intellectual ambition and hard work. I can easily see that you are really geared to STEM.

All I can tell you is that you do have the option of easing up your soph schedule. When you become a sophomore, that is your last year of “freedom”. By freedom, I mean that you don’t have as much responsibilities (taking the PSAT, SAT, ACT, SAT subject tests, prom, etc.) Take advantage of it and enjoy high school! However, if you feel the need to be challenged and pushed, then go for it! Best of luck!

Your Orchestra class gets weighted b-(

@jamesjunkers No, it doesn’t? It’s just the level of orchestra… right bellow chamber and above intermediate. We don’t actually do weighted grades at all, though that might change.
