Sophomore Student from SDSU wants to transfer:

I'm actually looking to transfer out of SDSU to either UCLA, UC Davis, Berkeley, UCSD, or USC. I know it's alot easier to transfer from cc, and that makes it harder for other four yr. universities to transfer because of so many comm. college students.

But if you could give me your feedback on what my chances are for these universities based on my academics (not whether i met the course requirements or not) I'd very much appreciate it. Thanks!

SDSU:
Overall GPA: 3.62
Lowest grade: B

Extra curric:
Marketing Internship in India at pharmaceutical company
Finance Internship in the U.S. for a little over a year.
Made Dean's list in Spring Semester 2007 and Fall Semester 2007

I'm not sure what else to put on there about college so far.

High School:
GPA: 3.7 Weighted, 3.3 (i think) unweighted
SAT I: First time = Math: 680 Writing: 620 Reading: 620
Second time = Math: 710 Writing: 580 Reading: 630
SAT II: Math IIC: 640 Chem: 620

Extra curric:
National Honor Society
Volunteered at Hospital
Tutoring job

If you guys need other information, don't hesitate to ask. I really appreciate your honest opinion. Thanks again :-).

Applying for:

UCLA: Economics or Business Economics
UC Berkeley: Business Administration
USC: Business Administration
UC Davis: Economics
UCSD: Economics

Bump de Bump

would really help me out.

I'm thinking of doing the same thing, so 'bump'

i just got accepted into CSULB, but rejected from UCLA. I really want to go to UCLA. I know the transfer rates from a CC are higher than from a 4 yr. but i just don't see the point in going to CC...can i still get into UCLA from CSULB or are the chances slim?

^^If you really want to go to UCLA, go to a CC. Chances of getting into UCLA from CSULB are VERY slim.

^^Thanks for the reply!
So let's say when i attend CSULB i maintain the status of a above average student...chances are still slim?

and what if i transfer into a private university like USC?
