Are many people who apply as a Sophomore transfer to certain universities just as successful getting in as a Junior?
I am looking to transfer to schools like USC as a sophomore if I have a good chance of getting admitted, instead of having to wait another year and appy as a Junior transfer.

If you were a competitive candidate as a fr applicant and you keep your grades up in college, then you probably have similar chances of admission as either a soph or jr. However, if your gpa, rigor of coursework and test scores were low for the school as a fr applicant, then you are going to have a better chance transferring as a jr if you show improvement in college.
