Sorry, but this is an emergency!!!

I haven't submitted the 2005 tax forms to Dartmouth yet because I didn't think it would be due until March along with the IDOC! I checked the website and Dartmouth wanted it on February 1st!!! Now I have to rush and make copies and send it out. However, I don't know what pages of the tax forms they want! The first two pages? The whole thing? Please help!

When colleges say they want 2005 or 2006 tax forms, which pages do they want you to copy for them?

In my experience, colleges are forgiving with the deadlines. Especially places like Dartmouth.

How complicated is your return? Is it that hard to copy the whole thing? I would give them at least the first two pages, Schedule A, Schedule B, Schedule C (if there is one), and Schedule D (if there is one), plus any K-1s. That should be enough for anyone.

Your IDOC instructions should state what they need. My daughter's school requests the following for IDOC: tax forms (including all schedules, but no worksheets), W-2s and any 1099 forms, for parents and students. Call Darthmouth on Monday and explain what happened and see what they say. At small schools it is often a "priority" deadline, not an absolute deadline. :)

Thanks. Who needs to sign? Me and both parents? Or just one parent?
