Sorry I keep bringing this up

<p>Ok so I just got deferred from Harvard, so I'm really freaking out. I haven't even looked at the pton app, but I'm not sure whether to do the commonapp or the pton app. I like my commonapp essay, but I could maybe do something better on the pton app if I have time. I have 9 applications in 2 weeks, though, so I don't know how much time I'll have.</p>

<p>I need to give out recs tomorrow though. Can I give the pton recs and just fill out commonapp, or vice versa? Is that acceptable? OR would it be too much to ask my teachers (who have already filled out the commonapp recs), to give me a copy of EACH, and then in a week or so when I finally figure out which app to use, I just mail the corresponding recs?</p>

<p>Just so you know, the whole preference to their own app thing isn't true. I just got in using the common app!</p>

<p>Don't you have to write both the common app and the 2 Pton essays?</p>

<p>it doesnt make a difference which app u use. if u use common, the pton supplement has 2 more essays. you will be writing 3 essays no matter what, and a fourth depending on if you want to write an optional</p>

<p>If I do the commonapp though, I can do the "Choose your own topic" and reuse an old, already decent essay.</p>
