Has anyone try to sign up to any of the three dates for Admitted Students Days Yet?
Can someone paste the link on here? having trouble finding it. thanks

This is the easiest way. Choose a date for an honors tour, and then it will ask you to sign in, and then you will see if it lets you register or not.
Wouldn’t let us sign in for honors tour but did let us sign up for admitted students. My son is happy either way. Still keeping our fingers crossed that he gets in.We knew The Honors College could go either way. I also registered him on Admitted
student day as well for April.
Well, I guess my daughter didn’t get in Honors either. We are from eastern NC and 4-5 students from her small school applied to Honors. I think they only accept about 300 from out of state. Very competitive. Guess we will have a TarHeel!
@icedlatte2 If nothing at all shows up, I’m assuming it means you didn’t get in, correct? I also am not allowed to sign up for the Honors College meeting.
Actually much less than 300 for OOS. Total combined is in the 575 range.
If you can’t sign up for Honors tour/social then it is correct that the student did not get into Honors.
About number of acceptances: I don’t know what the yield is, but not all those accepted to the SCHC will attend. So number of acceptances will be higher than number enrolled.
Do you have any idea if there is a waitlist? USC is my #1 (I’m in state, with stats significantly higher than Capstone but slightly lower than Honors averages from last year. My portal doesn’t let me sign up for the Honors tour) and I’m terrified about not getting into the International Business program if I don’t get into Honors.
HC acceptance came in the mail today! Happy for ds - even though I’m a Clemson alum!
Hi, does anyone know if I can appeal the honors college decision? I don’t know much about their procedures
I’m not sure if you can appeal it, but you can apply after your Freshman year.
I would not think you could appeal it–I believe it said something in the letter about the requirements to apply during Freshman year. You could probably call and ask someone why you were not accepted–the hard part is that things like essays are subjective so even if you have the grades and test scores, if the person reading your essays didn’t love them for some reason, they may have taken someone else instead. I do know that they weigh the essays pretty heavily, at least from everything I’ve heard. My daughter did not get in and we’re bummed, but her essays were probably the strongest part of her application as her other stats were lower for Honors.
sad to say that my son has officially declined the acceptance letter. We have hotel reservations for the 3/23 admitted students weekend. If anyone is still looking for a hotel that weekend, message me by the end of the day. I’m happy to hold off canceling if the reservation may be transferable. I am not sure how that works.
Good luck everyone with whatever you choose.
Where did he decide to go?
@brokemomofdd He hasn’t decided yet. He still has one application out there, and is waiting on another aid package. We had an agreement that as soon as he was able to rank the schools based on packages received, he would decline so that spots open up for other students.
We were super excited that our daughter got into the Honor’s College, and have been pleased with the experience that our current Junior has had in the program. However, our daughter was accepted into MIT on Wednesday, so its looking more than likely that she will not be attending USC. Waiting on several more schools that release on 3/28 and then we will be able to narrow down her choices and decline some spots.
@hopewhite25 Congrats on MIT.
@VAMom23 Thanks! She is super pumped, but as a mother it will be really hard to have her that far away. USC is 2 hours from us and we make frequent trips to visit our oldest and we were content to have them both down there. Now, who knows.
