Help! And also when do scholarships for high school senior become available? I just finished my junior year.

I think we’ve talked about UF/FSU before, you’re a high match and should apply. The other Florida universities are matches (and several may offer merit scholarships). You’re a match at all three OOS schools, however, without scholarships they may prove too expensive.

Here’s a link to UA’s OOS scholarships:

http://www.uky.edu/financialaid/content/non-resident-scholarships

You at least qualify for the “see blue.” Scholarship. Non-resident freshmen whose minimum ACT score is 25 or SAT (M+CR) is 1130, and who achieve a 3.00 unweighted high school GPA, will automatically be offered, a “see blue.” Scholarship. the “see blue.” Scholarship provides $7,000 per year, for up to four years of undergraduate study.

If you can get your ACT score up to a 28, then you qualify for the “Tiger Excellence Scholars Award” ($7,600 per year)

Still, even with these scholarships it can be expensive, so you may need to search out other/additional funding.

Good Luck!

Thank you! Hopefully I can seek out some private scholarships.

UF is gonna be a huge reach

You can never really tell. Their admissions process is holistic. I’ve seen people get in with 20s and 23s on their ACT, while my brother with a 28 (but no ECs) was not accepted.

@alijasmined UFs sporadic admissions is one reason why it is a reach. But another reason why it is a reach is because UF cares about GPA more than anything

Yeah I know, I enrolled in online courses and college courses this summer to try to bring up my GPA. @Anniebeats
