Spanish 6 or AP Gov?

I’m crafting my senior year schedule and wondering if I should drop Spanish 6 (which would be a regular class) to take AP Government. Which would look better on a college application?

I have already taken APUSH and WHAP. The rest of my schedule for next year includes AP Bio, Programming, Calculus 1, AP Lit and Comp, and Chamber Choir (which would be an honors class).

I think that you should take whichever class makes the most sense for you. I would not let our guess on what universities might prefer change your decision one way or the other.

Take whichever you find more interesting, whichever has the better teacher etc. I can’t imagine it will matter for college admissions.

My daughter took both of those her senior year and I don’t think either class tipped the scales on any of her college acceptances. Take the one that most interests you and the one that you think you can get the best AP test score on.

(ETA - sorry I just read that OP is talking about regular Spanish 6 - my D took AP)

Our kids’ and our own personal experience in high school and college is that, if you are in a liberal arts or social science track, the most gratifying and rewarding outcomes, on all fronts, always came from taking whatever classes are available from committed, professional, knowledgeable and challenging but supportive teachers, without too much regard for the subject assuming interest in it. I would pick based on what you know or have heard regarding the teachers.
