well i heard alot about the skip advice , like skipping hard questions so if i skip a question can i mark it on the bubbble sheet and maybe even not erase the mark , because time is so preciou on sat
Sure.
Statistically it’s unlikely to help. But it won’t hurt.
On the new SAT there is no guessing penalty. You should not be skipping any questions.
Well, I think it kind of depends on how you marked it. It’s all machine read, so if there’s a stray mark that makes the machine confused, chances are that you should’ve erased it. I don’t know if they’ll hand-grade it (which requires an additional fee) if the machine can’t read it, but if it’s a small mark (like a dot or something), I think you’ll be fine. If you feel that your scores are inaccurate because of this, you can request to verify your scores here: https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/sat/scores/verifying-scores
It costs an additional fee, but they’ll hand-grade it. You can request it as long as you’ve taken the test within the last 5 months I think.
Skipping it and getting it wrong now have the same effect on your score.
no i just mean if i just put a small mark like a small line on the number of the qs in the bubble sheet
would it effect the machine maybe…well my main concern is that if i am allowed to do so.
Technically, they tell you that there shouldn’t be stray marks (but small ones might not affect the machine at all), but like I said, if your results seem fudged up, you have a five month period to verify your results. I’m thinking it’ll be fine as long as it doesn’t cover up the question number or something.
Why not just look back on the bubble sheet and see the ones that have no bubble filled in?
I often circle question numbers on standardized test to go back to at the end or double check and I’ve been fine.
well i mostly guess qs even if i dont know the answer so i have all filled by the end of my solving i just wont having to look in the boolet for the qs its just easier to mark the qs i dont know on the bubble sheet i guess i will just put a small mark next to qs in my next sat
Mark the question sheet instead.
why can it harm me if i mark the bubble sheet or i should just be cautious
If you mark a scantron in pencil, it could absolutely be read by the scanner, depending on where the mark is.
If you do it in ink, you may forget to switch back to pencil.
