do u guys think people who applied first will know first?

@xoxoluv2shop I assume so

But holy **** you guys applied early!! i thought august wast early =(

hey you guys! I have some news so listen up!

so I called CLAS today and talked to their admissions. I asked when I should hear. she reviewed all my stuff and said my application was sent to CLAS (from UF) in august so that was good. she said I was in the first “batch” probably. this meaning that I should hear back very shortly. told me the majority of ppl who are transfers take their prereqs the last semester at the CC, so that is fine. she also said my GPA is great (3.56) and I had social problems, stats, and intro completed/in progress so that was good. she said of course she cannot guarantee me, but that she doesn’t see why I wouldn’t be admitted so basically the committee is reviewing apps now so if you applied a while back, you should hear shortly!

I’ll post this on the other thread too since there are two for UF transfer spring. goodluck everyone!

That’s great xoxoluv2shop! I hope you hear soon! :)

me too thanks! goodluck to everyone as well!

Accepted - Political Science
3.5x GPA
All prereqs completed or in progress, few upper division courses in the major too.
Coming from another FL public 4-year, not a CC.

Good luck guys. Keep checking your updates, I checked last night on a whim and saw it updated. Didn’t even get an email.

congrats scotus! when did you apply?

omg !!! accepted !!! yay! goodluck everyone !

Awesome! I still havn’t heard anything, but my fingers are crossed.

Guuurrr…My transcripts from my college are taking forever to get UF. Im worried im gonna get bumped because I didn’t get all my documents in on time. What do you think???

You can call the college. For the most part they are pretty friendly and helpful.

Hi Floridagirl28! I also applied for spring for CALS. What is your major? I also called and was told the 15th of November…

After reading on here that quite a few people find out over the phone (and otherwise are not notified until someone gets to updating it in the online system), it makes me want to call there again…

Family, youth, and community sciences. Iv called and contacted CALS on Facebook and they are pretty addimant about hearing between now and Novemver 15th.

What’s your major??

food science and human nutrition: dietetics specialty.
I am probably going pre-professional (pre-med or pre-P.A.), and the other specialization in the major, nutritional sciences, is intended to be pre-professional instead. UF does not let you change majors as a transfer though- I’ve already asked.
I can still pick up the other couple courses I’d need to be prepared for med or PA school.
This way, if med school doesn’t work out for some reason I can still practice as an R.D. (dietitian) after an internship. :)

Probably more than you asked for, but that’s the plan!

Good luck to you!!
I will post on here if anything changes on my status.
Oh, and when I did call CALS last Friday I was told that “the lady who does applications is not in today/Fridays.” So we probably shouldn’t expect any status updates for CALS after Thursday, until Monday… I say that, but then I still check my status at weird hours (like midnight…some have said they got accepted all of a sudden, as if the data was already entered and the online system updates at a certain odd hour.)

Again, best of luck! I hope we don’t need it!

My stats!

GPA: 3.77
A.A. degree
all prereqs/required transfer courses completed by the end of this term

what is that? im intrigued…

that was intended for Florida girl. what does your major entail?

Okay thanks for the info! I will def keep you updated as well! I really hope we both get in.
–I can’t belive only one lady does the apps…no wonder it takes so long lol

My GPA: 3.83
A.A. degree
and most prereqs done

It’s kind of UF version of social work. Its all about helping people who are having hard times and are in need of support. It’s pretty interesting

hmm I should look into that sounds amazing! :)
