@Madzzz well, hopefully you’ll be able to. They have a lot of very major-specific clubs, and then clubs that are very open for anyone. You will find something. And @Rikki1 @Madzzz I feel like that isn’t 100% true. If that’s what admissions counselors are supposed to say, they will say it on the forum on fb as well. I am still pretty sure that we’re supposed to hear by those dates and they just say that because they may still not have a definite answer as for when your letter will go out, so they know it will go out before then. Just try not to freak out. We’ll get them soon enough.

@emart95 Well the thing is that on that forum, FIT said that you should receive your decision around December 1st if you submitted your application by the deadline. I’m not too thrilled with the fact that they are dancing around the answer. It’s one thing if they even mentioned the fact that because of USPS the letter could be received a little after December 1st. But if letters are going out December 10th or the 15th that’s not giving anyone enough time to take care of things. If they could give us one straight answer- instead of telling everyone something different that would be great.

That’s excatly what I’m saying . Like everything is planned around this letter , housing , etc . I just don’t think it’s fair and that they’re not taking the correct measures

@Madzzz @Rikki1 I agree and that’s what we were getting at last night about the bureaucracy of the school. They act like everything is secret and won’t give you an answer. As I said, I stand by the idea that we will receive our decisions by the 1st. Possibly after if we’ve been rejected. Knowing they have quick deadlines after the letters are supposedly going out, I feel that they are more conscientious of that and will return those who have gotten accepted within a reasonable amount of time before everything is due, and those who will not need to submit forms to FIT because they get rejected may find out after the 1st. That’s just based on my experiences with schools in general and my prior experiences with FIT. For spring they tell you that you will hear at the end of April when deposits are all due May 1st, but then I received my letters in Mid March when I was declined and in early April when I was accepted.

@emart95 do we even know when tuition is due?

I think early January. May be wrong though. I pretty much have to rely on financial aid so I’m not even sure.

Hope to receive a decision by December 1st!!!that’s too cruel to receive a letter after that…

Reading everyones frustration is definitely making me feel better. I thought I was the only one. My friends think I’m over reacting but come on. We need to know already so we can figure out what on earth we have to do next!

And yeah I was hoping we would have a response by thanksgiving. My family is always asking me if I’m starting college yet and I still don’t have an answer for them. It’s so annoying -_-

@xokikixo I know my boss is getting sick and tired of my response when he see’s im freaking out and asks me what’s wrong. If you dont wanna hear it dont ask!!! But he knows me too well; he just hates it when I ■■■■■ about something I can’t change

@Madzzz Yes, exactly. I totally agree! This wait is so long, it’s ridiculous. And the fact that we don’t even know an exact date of when people should have their letters is very annoying.

Going to start my fasfa tonight to try and distract myself. If I don’t have any letter by Dec. 1 I’m gonna lose my mind. I only applied to that school so I need to know if I’m in or not… -_-

@xokikixo So here is exactly what FIT told me; “You should receive a decision by December 1.” Fingers crossed for everyone that’s still waiting ;)

@Madzzz did you call today ? See they are confusing us . I feel better knowing I only have a week than 3 weeks

@Rikki1 the FIT facebook page has a discussion board and I asked them on there. Depending on how far away from NYC you are they may be compensating for the delivery time and thats why they told you Dec 1-15. I say if you don’t hear by the 2nd or 3rd call again.

Okay I am in Atlanta . Mail from NYC usually takes three days at the most . @Madzzz

I agree with everyone. The wait is ridiculously long, frustrating, and annoying but I really think December 1st the latest b/c they need to get everyone registered for classes, housing, etc. They’re probably saying after December 1st and will send out letters before because they don’t want to be bombarded with phone calls and stuff if the 1st rolls around.

It really sucks. But we all are going through it and I’m sure the people who are already at FIT and it was their first choice experienced the same thing. So I can promise it isn’t just us. We aren’t just crazy nuts who are irrational about the wait. And also, love how y’all decided to upload icon pics lol. Glad I can set a trend since basically no one on CC puts pictures up lol. @xokikixo DEFINITELY get your FAFSA in ASAP. It can take 3 weeks to process it so you won’t know your financial aid for a while after you get accepted. The sooner the better.

@emart95 Yes, thank you! Going to do it asap tonight!

But like I’ve said before - What happens if knock on wood I get denied from FIT? what happens with my financial aid?

@emart95 In all honesty it was kind of bugging me because I would have to make sure I was referring to the right person since we all had the same pics. Figured someone else might be having the same issue. :)

Just checked my mail and nothing still. I know they said december but I can’t help and hope it will be earlier!

@xokikixo Same here… Hope to receive it early next week
