I found out about two weeks ago that I have been accepted as a freshman for spring 2012. I am very excited about this but I'm still worried about a few things: since I will be starting a semester later than everybody else and I don't know anyone at FSU yet, I'm wondering how easy it will be to make new friends there. I was told by a person in admissions that 400 new freshmen start spring semester, which makes me feel a little better but it's still quite scary haha.

Also I was wondering is someone could tell me a bit more about all the different dorms, like which ones are more social and which ones are more modern and so on. Maybe just the pros and cons of some of the dorms.

Hi, I’m in the same situation and it is scary. Right now I’m at my local college until spring semester starts. It’s crazy because I’m already getting lost on this small campus lol, imagine me going to FSU’s giant campus. I’m nervous, but I’m ready:)) Good luck to you too. But also, FSU after awhile of thinking became my number one choice. So it’s worth the 3 month wait and it’s worth the new experience:))

Spring transfer also. I heard that finding a dorm would be next to impossible because spring transfers are relying on kids from the first semester to drop out of there dorms. I found a spot @ southgate. Its an ‘off-campus’ dorm but located on frat / sorority row w.e u wana call it. Seemed like a active dorm.

My son was admitted to FSU for spring, 2013. How did it end up for you there Spring, 2012 admits? Did you get a dorm room? Did you end up with an upperclassman as a roommate? How difficult was it to meet friends?

Bringing this ttt again. For those that were admitted for Spring admission, what was your housing assignment experience like? Which dorm were you assigned?
