Hi everyone, I'm having a small problem, I'll be going to FSU for the spring of 2012. But the thing is i won't be able to stay on campus because of reasons. I've been looking at student housing that's in the FSU perimeter. For example, the Avenue, and avenue 2, etc. because i still want to be able to walk to campus. Right now the avenues, element, vue, and paces, are leased for the fall, and those are some I'm interested in for the spring. Does anyone know if these student housing have subleases out yet? or where I can check for subleases on student housing in FSU's perimeters? If any of you can help me out, that would be awesome! Thank you:))

Call the apartment complex and ask if they have a list of people who are subleasing their apartment in spring. It might be too early though. People are just starting classes and probably not thinking that far ahead yet. Also check Craigslists and post an ad on Craigslist. You’ll get tons of responses if you say you’re looking for a sublease.

There’s plenty of housing in Tallahassee. You’ll find a place. Don’t worry.

Thank you:) I’m just nervous, and still want to be in the campus. I hope everything turns out well. Once again thank you!

If you don’t mind the occasional frat parties, Heritage Grove is always a good place. (new)

If you can, avoid Villa Dylano,Villa de lago or any other venture by a company named Student Housing solutions. They buy out very very old houses, cheaply renovate them and fix the exterior. And unfortunately, the people that work there are mostly students who forget that you, the tenant, is the customer.

Theres a new housing place on Hayden Road near the stadium which looks very nice.

And subleases usually start showing up right before finals. Like loller said, check on craigslist and talk with people. A lot of people ask the management to find a sublease for their apartment, and never advertise. Management usually ‘forgets’ to advertise that they have subleases available, so its usually up on craiglist. And last but not least, if you know someone that is going to FSU, ask them to check the bus stops for sublease advertisements.

Good luck!
