When do Spring applicants find out if they are accepted or denied?

The UT website says November, but is it early or late in the month?

I called in the other day and asked them, they said I would hear back late November or early December. They said they have started reviewing applications already and very few have received their admissions decisions. I wish it was sooner but I guess all we can do is wait and check daily.

I really hope it’s sooner than that - November is doable, but December leaves very little time for registration. I’m guessing I’m not the only one stalking my status page?

I could have sworn I found a site the other day that mentioned October 15th as a timeframe for notifications to start going out, but I think it may have been for internal transfers into a specific department and not externals.

Is there anyone on the board with experience with the Spring timeline? I searched the archive from a year ago and couldn’t find much, just one posting from someone who posted about being admitted on 21-Nov. Do we really have to wait that long? I would think Spring would be a bit faster for notification since there are less applicants and there is less time available to enroll for classes. I really hate how OCD this is making me…

Yeah I remember reading somewhere that someone received there acceptance letter on October 15 or something close to that. My guess is we should all hear something by middle of November(hopefully). I hope that they do send out something soon because I already got accepted into a&m and want to have time to visit both campuses.

Just an update for us spring transfer hopefuls: I called yesterday to see if there was a better estimate of when we would be notified. The advisor I spoke with said transfers can be notified from now through about mid-November, and that it will vary by major/college and applicant stats. She said the status page will be the fastest way to know and that official letters don’t get mailed out until at least 24 hours post-decision availability online. Obviously not much more helpful than what we already knew, but she did say they try to get notification out as soon as possible so we have time to meet with our new academic advisors and process paperwork, etc. before the staff leaves for winter break in December. I looked around and it seems we (new students/transfers) can’t register until January 13th - did anyone else hear different?

we’re in the same boat polcat. I just got my a&m acceptance, before the deadline. I guess more people are applying to UT, so it would naturally take longer. My status has been in the “We’re currently reviewing you application” Status for about two weeks now. November sounds grueling though, especially since my application was complete a month before the deadline.

I really hate how neurotic this is making me - I feel like I need a support group or something. lol I think what’s bugging me most is that I can’t make any plans until I know, like deciding if I’m going to try to find a part-time job instead or just stop working altogether and knock out the rest of my degree faster. On that note, I really wish they had a non-traditional student board here on CC, it would really be handy right about now…
