Spring admit enroll at another college for Fall

I was accepted by USC as a spring admit. I am struggling if I should go to USC. It is a great school, but I really do not want to miss the “freshman experience”. USC web site says I can enroll to another “no-degree-seeking 4 year college”, but I am not sure how to do it.

I remember I read some post on this forum that people registered to another college in Fall but at spring time they gave up USC because they liked where they were. But I could not find the post anymore. Any one has a link?

Thanks,

I think you may be mixing up posts regarding two different things - spring admit versus Trojan Transfer Plan. The people that end up liking their college and staying are those that are on the Trojan Transfer Plan for freshman year - some attend a four year for the entire freshman year and like it, so they stay.

In the case of a spring admit, you can always choose a community college or a 4 year year college as a part time student or a NON-degree seeking student - if they offer an ability to do that. this does not solve you dilemma cause you still miss the 'freshman experience" as non-dgree seeking students don’t get housing or other parts of a full time freshman student. What people are committing to attend by today is a full time option to attend a university. You would have to call a university to see if you can enroll in classes as a non-degree seeking person. They do not all offer that for different reasons including class demand/school capacity, etc.

First of all, it is about spring admit, not transfer. Second, based on what I read, they seemed to registered as a normal student, not a 'no-degree-seeking". Otherwise, what was the purpose to give up USC and stay?

You cannot enroll in another four year college if a accepting spring admit for USC, so you must be confused.
