Anyone hear anything? The admissions office still hasn’t accepted my fall grades. Unless they do so in these next two days, I will be ineligible.
Things are looking bleak to say the least.
Hey guys. This is a bit off topic. I plan on applying to UT Austin and Texas A&M for the fall term. I currently have 21 credits but will have 34 by the end of the spring term. However, Texas A&M states that a student is required to have at least 24 transferable credits. Are you supposed to have those 24 credits when you apply or 24 credits by the end of the last term at your current college?
Hey guys!
Quick question! I have a cousin who attends a private college in Austin. Her GPA is a little low to transfer. I was wondering if you take an ACC class will that GPA count toward application review? Her college will only accept the credit and not count the GPA. So, we’re hoping UT will count ACC GPA as well. Anyone know or have done this before please let me know ASAP!
Thank you!
Hey all. Do you mind listing whether you are external, PACE or CAP and what school you’re applying to and what major? I’m trying to compile a list for us
list will be composed of fall 2016 applicants
Hi y’all!!! I got accepted into COLA Economics today!!!
My GPA is a 3.92, I had 3 LOR’s from professors/past mentors, and two fairly decent essays.
I did not have the 30 hours complete when I first applied but this past semester I took 16 more to meet the requirement.
Hook them!!! Best of luck to the ones still waiting to hear!
I got into COLA history yesterday!!!
My GPA was a 3.3, lots of EC’s, 3 LOR’s and strong essays. I had 29 hrs. When I applied and 47 after. Good luck to anyone waiting!!
I got accepted!!! (COLA-Government)
Applied with a 3.394 and finished with a 3.54 (3.8 semester gpa with 15 hours) after fall grades. I had some good extracurriculars and no letters of rec.
I CANT BELIEVE IT! HOOK EM!
Hey I just wanted to see if any of yall knew what the chances of getting rejected/accepted to McCombs with a 4.0 (OU) are? I know McCombs is extremely competitive so even with a 4.0 theres no garuntees
Glad to see all these acceptances! HOOK’ EM
To those of you still waiting you guys should hear back soon since they’re sending out acceptances.
(Fall 2015 transfer) Hey, congrats to those who got in. and if you haven’t yet, its cominggg… housing is always hard since UT LOVES wasting time when it comes to releasing decisions. make sure you join the housing fb group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/UTSubletRoommateFinder/
@whlockett you should check out the stats of the fall 2015 transfers

Hey guys I’m wondering if ya’ll could chance me.
Applying for Fall 2016
Currently a freshman at Texas State
4.0 GPA (12 hours fall semester and 13 this upcoming spring)
Took 8 D.C. courses through ACC in high school, got A’s in all of them, so overall I still have a 4.0 GPA.
I’ve taken most of my basics (US Hist. Government, English, Calc 1, Intro to CS, taking Calc 2 next semester)
CNS, Cockrell
1st choice: CS
2nd choice: Electrical/Computer Engineering
Essays are pretty good, would like some feedback from others.
I don’t have any recommendations so far, I could get one if you all think that is really necessary.
Many extracurriculars in high school. Some in college (CS Club, STEM LLC), but not that many since I’m also barely starting out. I did some out-of-school computer science programs in high school. I have about 200 volunteer hours that I’ve done.
Does anybody know if UT and specifically mccombs makes you send in your spring transcript for their decision also? The deadline is March 1 (for fall) which makes me think they only use the fall transcript
^ if you have under 30 hours, you have until June 1 to turn in your spring grades to meet the 30 hour requirement. Decisions likely won’t be released until July anyways. You just have to make sure you send all your existing grades (and essays, resume, etc) by March 1st.
So you think if my grades suck this semester (just hypothetical) it doesn’t matter cause they just go off what they have by March first?
@whlockett if you are a CAP student they look try to look at both semesters. If not they usually have their decision in place by mid-May and you might have already been notified. However, there were some non-CAP and PACE students last year that did not receive a decision until after May. I think this is likely because these applicants were on the bubble and their spring grades decided whether or not they’d be accepted.
@lgodz15 you have greats stats but you need 30 hours completed by June 1, and from what you posted you will only have 25, so maybe try and add another class or two for spring semester to be eligible
