Are any of the spring '08 admits going to the April 22 program? My D got into the Annenberg School in the spring and I was hoping she could meet some other springlets.

Hi Candy- at the moment we are looking at other options and will be at a Cal overnight that day
we coudln't even get in to RSVP for this..did you have any trouble?
is your d definitely attending then for Spring?

She decided tonight on USC. It has been a roller coaster of emotions, but after speaking with two college counselors my D decided this was a great opportunity. Once the decision was made there was definite excitement about USC.
We have not tried to RSVP yet - I will try later or tomorrow. It has been a draining few days for all of us.

I'm not a spring admit but if I attend, I will be at the Annenberg. :) What major is your daughter planning on?

Right now she is thinking about public relations. Once the program begins she will be able to explore other options within Annenberg. As an 18 year old I think she should be open to anything and everything, especially because of the reputation of the program. However, I think that's one of the pitfalls of having to apply to a specific school so early.

Wecandothis - I won't be going to Admit Day April 22nd because I'll be at Cal, as well! Is your d attending Cal Day? Maybe we can meet up as fellow Springlets :)

Candy49 - If I am for sure going to USC in the Spring, I'll be in for Public Relations, too! That's why it's so hard for me to let go of USC, because of their reputable PR program.

What are both of your d's plans for the fall?

We won't be attending CAL day. She really is comfortable with her decision to attend USC in the spring. I also feel that if she attends another school in the fall and intends to leave we are taking a space away from someone else who really wants to attend. However, I do understand anyone making that choice. The kids do want to graduate in time. In fact, my D didn't sound so excited about community college because she is afraid it will feel like she is in high school. Perhaps she will work and take one course or maybe do a community service program abroad. We haven't gotten that far yet. I know she won't just sit around. Except for the difficult days of saying goodbye to friends in the fall, the months will fly by until all of you will begin USC. I'm happy there are so many holidays in the fall. I do hope we can get the springlets together. Maybe you can meet on campus some weekend. We live in Los Angeles.

I'm pretty sure I'll be going :D

i think i might too. go to facebook and join usc spring 11!

im going :) <3usc

Has anyone received their financial aid package yet?

The only thing that's keeping me from attending USC is how much it's going to cost! I just sent in my parent's 2006 income tax today. Argh..

Anyone have any idea when we'll get our fin aid package?

im waiting for it too :/

I don't know who first used the word 'springlets' but I find it amusing and it really made my day that much better. Thanks :)
